The Red Cross and Red Crescent Movement is here to help you to get in contact with missing family members


The Movement is made up of :

  • 191 National Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies;
  • the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC);
  • the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (the Federation).

We work together to help people who has lost contact with their family as a result of a conflict, a natural disaster or migration.

We work in every country in the world, so we will be able to look for your family even if you’re separated by borders. Our staff will be fully respectful of your culture and religion and are familiar with the local language and your needs.

Reuniting families for over 150 years

We have been bringing families back together since 1859. Everyone is entitled to know what has happened to their missing relatives.

Our global network can help keep families together and put those separated by humanitarian crises, such as a conflict, a natural disaster and migration, back in contact. We will do our best to support your family through this very emotionally difficult time, and we’ll also help you with administrative issues or refer you to others who can help if need be.
